We
now have a fleet of over 50 trucks, 4 with Hiab-type
lorry mounted cranes, and access to over a 120 trailers.
These comprise 45 ft flat beds, extendable up to
130 ft, some of them steerable, low loaders, step
frame, curtain side and tipping trailers. Moffat
Mountie and other specialised trailers are available
on request.
We have recently purchased another livestock trailer, which was built to the
highest specification for this type of transport. |

Our
business began locally, mainly transporting livestock
and agricultural products, but we soon realised
the potential market for other haulage and began
to transport rail, pig iron and furnace bricks
for the steel industry. Over the years we have
added dedicated trailers to our fleet for the heavy
specialised haulage of rail and associated rail
products.
We have grown into a national and occasionally international company.
We are equipped for and willing to carry anything requested, but specialise in
carrying rail, timber, building products, tractors and heavy plant and in carrying
bulk materials such as scrap metal, coal, stone, sand and fertilisers. |
Some
of the less common items we have been requested
to carry have ranged from caravans, boats and
trains to windmills and even a giant carved stone
sheep!
Arriving
soon we hope to be able to offer 6 more extendable
trailers and a 4 axle extendable low loader trailer.
New
larger workshops were purpose built built ten years
ago to carry out in house maintenance and fabrication.
This has allowed us to streamline the business
and make us more efficient. |
