Jobs and Training

We have a large workforce mainly from the local area, but we are currently also recruiting from futher afield as we expand geographically.

All of our workforce is trained to the highest standards, both in terms of their driving skills and in the specialist work carried out in the crane and plant divisions.

Operatives are certified in their various roles by the CITB and other nationally approved agencies and all certification is renewed regularly at the appropriate intervals.

Much of the training can be carried out at our own in-house training suite on the premises, such as ADR and Health and Safety training and refresher courses.

New drivers are taught all of the necessary operational skills and inducted into the company's working practise before being allowed to work for us. We expect the highest standards of work and service to our customers from our employees.

Lawsons are in full compliance with equal opportunities legislation and at present have two fully qualified female HGV drivers.
